FACIAL PRECARE & AFTERCARE

Precare Instructions

FACIAL TREATMENT

  • Avoid any harsh products or exfoliators for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Avoid overexposure to the sun in the days leading up to your appointment, especially without adequate sun protection.
  • Please wait at least 24 hours after receiving a lash lift or brow lamination before attending a facial.
  • It is recommended to wait 2 weeks after Botox or other wrinkle relaxer services before your facial.
  • If you have any skin infection, rash, or active cold sores, or if you are ill, please reschedule your appointment.
  • On the Day of your appointment, please arrive with no makeup if possible. We can remove it for you, but it cuts into your treatment time!

AFTERCARE Instructions

FACIAL TREATMENT

With the exception of Collagen Induction Therapy (Medical Microneedling), our facial treatments do not result in post treatment “downtime”. Depending on the specific service, and the current condition of your skin, you may experience slightly more rapid cellular turnover resulting in mild flaking. True “peeling” should not occur with our facial treatments.

That said, the following tips can help to ensure the best possible results from your treatment.

  • Book your next facial to maintain your skin’s health and appearance
  • Avoid touching or rubbing your face, particularly in the first 24 hours.
  • Avoid hot showers, sauna’s or steam rooms in the first 24 hours.
  • Use the skincare products recommended by your aesthetician, temporarily omitting exfoliation or use of retinoids for the first 48 hours post-treatment. (Environ Moisturizers, though technically Retinoids, are still safe immediately following treatment)
  • Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, even on cloudy days
  • Keep your skin hydrated and moisturized
  • If possible, refrain from wearing makeup for the first 24 hours or opt for light non-comodegenic foundation
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption
  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated
  • Get plenty of sleep to support skin repair
  • Eat a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains
  • Contact us immediately if you experience any unexpected redness, irritation or swelling
